The Lusha Connect connector enables users to access Lusha’s Prospecting API directly from within Workato. This article will guide you through the two key actions in the Prospecting workflow:

  1. Step 1 – Contacts Search

  2. Step 2 – Contacts Enrich

Connector Setup

To get started, you’ll need a Lusha API key and an active Workato account.

  1. Go to your Lusha dashboard and get your API key here.

  2. Paste the key into the API Key field when setting up the connection.

Easy Step-by-Step Setup:

  1. Log into Workato: Open Workato and log in or create an account if you don’t have one.

  2. Install Lusha Connect: Visit the Workato Community Library Lusha Connect page and click “Install” to add the Lusha Connect connector to your account.

  3. Create a New Recipe: In Workato, click “Create Recipe” to start a new automation.

  5. Add Lusha Connect as an Action: In the action step, search for “Lusha Connect” and select it.

  6. Authenticate with API Key: Enter your Lusha API key when prompted. This will authorize Workato to securely access Lusha’s enriched data.

  7. Configure Fields: Depending on the selected action, map the fields in Workato to ensure the correct data is pulled from Lusha.

Step 1 – Search for Contacts

Use this action to search for relevant B2B contacts by applying advanced filters across contact and company-level criteria.

5. Map Fields: In the setup step:

  • Review the fields available in the Lusha action. Select the ones that align with your data needs.

  • Add only the fields you require for your workflow. (It’s recommended to avoid adding all fields unless they’re essential for your recipe, to keep it streamlined).

6. Add another Lusha Action:

  • Select the second step (“Prospecting Enrich Contacts”):

a. Map the “Request Id” from the datapill of the last action output:

b. Select either “All Contacts”, “New Contacts” or “Revealed Contacts”

6. Map Data to the Final Destination: Map the enriched data from Lusha to the desired location within your workflow, ensuring it appears where it’s needed.

7. Test and Activate the Recipe: Run a test to ensure everything works as expected. Then, activate the recipe to start using it.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Use "new_contact_ids" to reveal only unseen contacts.

  • Apply exclusion filters to optimize API credit usage.

  • Use Dynamic Fields: Whenever possible, use Workato’s dynamic fields to pass information like email addresses or company names directly into the Lusha connector, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

  • Monitor API Usage: Keep an eye on your API usage within Lusha, as enrichment calls can consume API credits.

  • Regular Testing: Periodically test your recipes to confirm that data flows smoothly and meets your needs.
