What is a Record Type?
A Record type in Salesforce is a dynamic tool that helps you collect and manage data about an object. Record types control three things, business processes, assign page layouts, and picklist values. There can be different page layouts and picklist values based on record types. A record type can be linked to user profiles.
Who uses a Record Type?
It varies according to company regulations. Some customers have to assign each Salesforce contact/lead to a specific record type. To enhance your integration experience, you can now configure a default record type for the contacts/leads you save from Lusha to Salesforce.
How can you set up a default Record Type?
To activate this configuration, you’ll need admin permissions.
It’s simple. Just follow these steps:
Log in to your Salesforce account.
2. Go to Salesforce on the integration menu on your Lusha dashboard.
3. Click the toggle button to Activate the Record Type option.
If you want to display the Record Type in the Lusha Extension menu, click the toggle button. This will enable you to select different record types when you save new contacts to Salesforce.
That’s it! You’re done! You can now head over to LinkedIn to push more leads and accurate data directly to Salesforce in one click.
