Why does my email address appear as invalid or suspicious?

Why your email address may be marked as invalid or suspicious when signing up for Lusha, and what to do if your account is suspended immediately after registering.

Lusha requires a valid work email address to sign up. A work email is one associated with your company domain — for example, [email protected]. If your email appears as "invalid" or "suspicious" during registration, or if your account is suspended shortly after signup, one of the reasons below is usually the cause.

Why your email might be rejected at signup

  • Public domain — Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, and similar public email providers are not accepted.

  • Generic prefix — addresses like info@, sales@, hr@, or support@ are not accepted.

  • Domain not verified — your company's email domain must be linked to an active website. Domains without a functioning website can't be verified.

  • IT restrictions — your organisation's IT provider may be blocking third-party app access. Admin consent may be required.

Common error messages

Administrator approval required

Your organisation's IT has restricted third-party app permissions. A tenant administrator needs to grant the necessary permissions for Lusha in your organisation's settings.

Fraud user — login is blocked

Lusha couldn't verify your email domain as a business domain. This usually means the domain isn't linked to an active company website.

Account suspended immediately after signing up

If you completed registration but your account was suspended before you could use it, this is a different issue from a signup rejection. It means Lusha's automated compliance system flagged your domain for review — not necessarily because of anything you did wrong.

Common reasons include:

  • Your domain is new or has limited online history

  • Your domain was previously associated with suspicious activity by other users

  • Multiple signup attempts were made from the same IP address

What to do:

  1. Do not create additional accounts — this can delay the review.

  2. Contact Lusha Support via the chat icon on the Lusha website and provide:
    – Your registered email address
    – Your company name and company website URL
    – A brief description of how you plan to use Lusha

  3. The team will review your domain. Most cases are resolved within 1-3 business day.

💡 Note: Domain whitelisting requests must be reviewed manually by Lusha's team. Lusha Support cannot approve these directly — but reaching out speeds up the process significantly.

⚠️ Important: If you believe your domain was blocked in error, do not attempt to sign up with a different email or domain. This may extend the review timeline.

Browser troubleshooting

If the sign-up page keeps loading without an error, try the following:

  1. Clear your browser data: open Chrome's menu, select Clear browsing data, set the time range to All time, check Cookies and Cached images and files, then click Clear data and restart your browser.

  2. Try signing up in an incognito or private browsing window.

  3. If the issue continues, try a different browser.

Login page keeps loading

Make sure you're entering the email address registered with your Lusha account — not your name — in the login field. If the page still doesn't load, follow the browser troubleshooting steps above.

If you continue to have trouble, contact Lusha Support using the chat icon in your dashboard.
