Single Sign-On (SSO) technology offers a streamlined solution, enabling users to access multiple applications with one set of credentials.

By integrating SSO, organizations can enhance security, improve user experience, and simplify IT management. This article provides a comprehensive guide on setting up SSO with Lusha, detailing the benefits, key components, and step-by-step instructions to help you implement this essential feature in your system.


Sign up with Google/Office 365 SSO

Google

  1. Head over to the Lusha signup page and press Continue with Google.

  2. A pop-up window will open and you will be able to choose your Gmail Business account.

Office 365

  1. Head over to the Lusha signup page and click on Continue with Office 365

  2. A pop-up window will open and you will be able to choose your Microsoft Office Business account.

πŸ’‘Note: You can switch from Google/Office 365 to a password login by clicking "forgot password". A password link will be sent to your email address.


Okta Integration

Lusha offers the option to sign up with Okta.

This helps companies manage and secure the users' authentication into applications.

The SSO login page allows users to sign in with Okta by clicking Sign in with SSO provider.

Initial setup and requirements

1. Admin permissions in your Lusha account.

2. Admin permissions in Okta (normally it would be the IT manager in your company)

The below steps should be performed by Okta's admin:

Setting up the Okta Integration

1. Under the applications tab at Okta, add Lusha to your applications page.

2. Assign the people who will be using Lusha with Okta to the Lusha application.

3. Under the Sign-On page, click on "View SAML setup instructions". Once clicked, a text will appear, copy the IDP metadata.

  • The IDP metadata will look something like this:

  • To see the full IDP metadata, click on the text itself:

4. Copy the XML file >> Account settings >> paste it under the 'Okta activation' section >> then click Apply.

Your Lusha account is now integrated with Okta πŸŽ‰

πŸ’‘Note: The users under your account will be able to access Lusha using Okta only.

  • Q: Once I have activated Okta integration will it be possible for people in my organization to sign up using email and password?
    ​
    ​A: All of the people that you have assigned to use the Okta integration in step 2 will be able to sign in via Okta/Google sign-in only. If they don't have a Lusha user yet, they will not be able to create one with an email & password.

  • Q: After I assigned people to use Lusha with Okta, do I need to invite them to the Lusha account?
    ​
    ​A: The user should be part of the Lusha account before being assigned to Lusha/Okta. After assigning, the user can either sign in to Lusha using Azure or via Lusha's login page by clicking on SSO.

Azure Login SSO

Azure helps companies manage and secure user authentication into applications.

Initial setup and requirements:

1. To perform the integration, you’ll need admin or manager permissions.

2. Admin permissions in Azure (normally it would be the IT manager in your company).

The below steps should be performed by Azure's admin:

Setting up the Azure Login SSO

Part 1 - Adding Lusha to the Azure Applications page

  • Sign in to the Azure portal using either a work or school account or a personal Microsoft account

  • Under the 'Enterprise applications' tab at Azure, add Lusha to your applications page.

  • Click on Enterprise applications

Under the Enterprise applications environment, insert Lusha in the search bar below.

> Then click the Lusha URL.

  • You will be directed to the Lusha application where you can click on Single sign-on from the left side panel.

Under the SAML Certificate element, download the Federation Metadata XML.

To receive the IDP metadata, in a browser, paste the complete App Federation Metadata Url.

Part 2 - Configure Lusha SSO

  • Copy the XML file >> Go to your Account settings >> Paste the XML under the 'Azure AD activation' section >> then click Connect.

Next step:

Assign the people who will be using Lusha with Azure to the Lusha application.

> Click on the 'Users' tab >> New user >> Invite the users

Your Lusha account is now integrated with Azure πŸŽ‰
