Updated over a week ago

We've launched an improved system of industry classification. Every company in our database now has a primary industry and sub-industry, allowing for better search granularity and more relevant search results. Use this to improve your B2B account-based marketing and sales approach and find even more target companies.

Adjusting your integrations and API fields requires access by an admin. If you are not a CRM / Lusha admin, please contact your account's admin and send them this guide.

💡 The one-level industry classification will be deprecated by March 30th, 2024. Please Be sure to make the proper adjustments before the deprecation date.

  • Adjustments for users with an active integration

  • Adjustments for users with Lusha API

Adjustments for users with an active integration -

  1. Click on ‘Field mapping’ on your integration management menu.

  2. Find the current one-level industry field and remove it.

  3. Click the ‘+Add field’ under the full list and type ‘industry’.

  4. To add new industry fields you can either - Choose both a ‘Main industry’ and a ‘Sub-industry’ or just one of them. Depending on the granularity of your needs.

Make sure to choose a String object on your CRM field to match the industry String object.

That’s it - you're done!

Adjustments for users with Lusha API -

To adjust to the new 2-level industry classification, you need to edit the API call to include the new Main and Sub-industry labels.

Here’s how it looks when the API call returns with only one industry:

API/prospecting/filters/companies/industries

Here’s what it looks like when the fields are changed by adding the right call:
