Overview

Lusha Conversations is your AI-powered meeting assistant, designed to turn every conversation into conversion!

Lusha Conversations automatically records, summarizes and analyzes customer interactions while capturing key details and action items in a clearly organized format - so you can easily prepare for next touchpoints, uncover opportunities and focus on selling - without taking a single note.

Spot deal risks before they become problems, track next steps seamlessly, and sync everything to Salesforce automatically, keeping your pipeline current without manual work.

Lusha Conversations is available to all plans. Each Conversation recording costs 8 credits.

For our legacy Scale plans - these credits will be deduced from your Bulk Credits.

What you can do with Conversations

  • Meeting documentation - automatically record and summarise meetings, capturing action items and follow-ups while you stay engaged in the conversation.

  • Deal and pipeline visibility - track deal progression, monitor next steps, and identify objections and opportunities across all your meetings.

  • Data-driven coaching - access talk ratios, engagement metrics, and conversation insights to identify growth opportunities and coach your team using real meeting data.

  • CRM sync - recorded meetings automatically sync to Salesforce as Event activities, with summaries and action items populated in the event description.

Compliance & Data Protection You Can Trust

  • No AI training on your data – We never use your conversations, recordings, or stored data to train AI models.

We maintain SOC2 TYPE II and ISO27001 certification to ensure security compliance.

  • Minimal, necessary data sharing - Only limited data - names, meeting summaries and related meeting metadata - are shared with authorized external recipients under robust data processing agreements.

  • Full GDPR alignment – Our data practices fully meet the requirements of GDPR and other leading data protection regulations, ensuring your information is handled lawfully, transparently, and securely.

Getting Started

Follow this guide to set up and maximize your Conversations experience.

Step 1: Connect Your Calendar

  • Before any meeting can be recorded, you must connect your calendar. Conversations will not join or record any meeting until this step is complete.

    1. Navigate to the Conversations dashboard from your Lusha home screen.

    2. Go to Settings (⚙️ icon, top right) > Organization tab.

    3. Under Auto Join Meetings, toggle ON.

    4. If you attend meetings you did not schedule, also enable Join Non-Host Meetings.

    5. Save your settings.

💡 Pro tip: To avoid using credits on internal syncs, enable auto-recording for external meetings only. You can also customise your meeting bot's name in Settings to match your team's preferences.

Step 2: Start Recording & Analyzing

Once your calendar is connected and auto-recording is enabled, Conversations joins and records your scheduled meetings automatically. After each meeting ends you will receive an analysis email within 2 to 5 minutes.

To record an unscheduled meeting:

  1. Click New Recording in the top-right corner of your Conversations dashboard.

  2. Paste your virtual meeting link.

  3. The Lusha bot will join and begin recording automatically.

  4. Optionally rename the meeting for easier organisation later.

To stop a recording in progress:

  • If you are the meeting host - remove the Lusha bot from the participant list, just like any other attendee.

  • If you are not the host - click Stop Recording from the Conversations banner at the top of your screen.

💡 Note: All participants are automatically notified when recording begins. A notification appears in the meeting chat. Admins can customise the first part of this message in Bot Settings.

Step 3 - Review your meeting analysis

The Meeting Analysis page gives you a full breakdown of each recorded meeting:

  • Meeting Summary - an AI-generated overview of the key discussion points

  • Risk Indicators - AI-identified moments that could impact deal progression, including objections, lack of urgency, missing next steps, competitive threats, and budget roadblocks

  • Action Items — automatically extracted next steps and commitments

  • Discussion Chapters - AI-generated topic-based segments (e.g. Discovery, Pricing, Next Steps) for easier navigation of long meetings

  • Transcript - a full, searchable transcript with questions and responses

  • Engagement Metrics - talk time breakdown and participation levels for all attendees, calculated based on talk time duration and participation frequency

Tip: For deeper performance insights and verbal communication metrics, explore the Coaching tab in the top-right corner of the Analysis page.

Step 4: Leverage Advanced Features

  • Share recordings internally: share meeting summaries and recordings with team members using the unique meeting URL. All account members have access to recordings automatically.

  • Share recordings externally: generate secure, time-limited sharing links for clients and partners (7, 14, 30, or 90 days). External recipients see only the meeting summary and transcript — your internal comments and analysis remain private. Optionally protect shares with a per-share or master password.

  • Insights Tab: review analytics on conversation patterns, engagement levels, and deal progression across all your meetings.

  • Smart Snippets: browse, search, filter, and manage saved snippets. Each snippet retains contextual metadata including category, sub-categories, creator, and view count.

  • Coaching tool: use conversation data and engagement metrics to provide targeted, data-driven feedback to your team.

Chapter Analysis: each chapter includes a copy button to extract and share sanitised summaries with stakeholders without exposing sensitive meeting details.

  • Tag teammates - use @mentions in comments to tag colleagues at specific moments. Tagged teammates receive an email with a direct link to that point in the recording.

  • Questions on the timeline - questions are automatically identified and marked with icons on the meeting timeline. Hover to preview, or click to jump to that moment.

Step 5: Scale Team Collaboration

  • Invite Colleagues: Onboard your team members to maximize organizational insights (coming soon).

Settings and customisations

Auto-recording rules

Administrators have full control over which meetings are automatically recorded:

  • Record all meetings automatically

  • Exclude specific meeting types (internal meetings, recurring sessions, etc.)

  • Skip meetings where you are not the host

  • Set custom rules based on meeting duration, participants, or calendar keywords

Admins can also edit and customise AI-assigned meeting types from the Meeting Analysis page or the main dashboard, ensuring accurate categorisation for your business context.

Media player

  • Quick resize - click the resize icon in the player toolbar to toggle between compact and full-screen views.

  • Manual adjustment - drag the separator bar between the media player and analysis tabs to set your preferred layout.

  • Jump to a speaker - click any speaker's name in the transcript panel or insights timeline to jump to their contributions.

  • Mute a speaker - click the eye icon next to a speaker's name in the transcript view to hide or show their audio during playback.

Managing recordings

  • Delete - Admin users can permanently remove meetings from the platform.

  • Export video - right-click any recording on the analysis page and select Save video.

  • Download transcript - access downloadable transcripts directly from the Transcript tab.

💡 Note: All team members on your account can currently view recorded meetings and their analysis. Private recording options may be introduced in a future update.

Salesforce integration

Once your Salesforce integration is connected, recorded meetings automatically sync as Event activities. Meeting summaries, key insights, and action items are organised in designated fields within the event description.

💡 Note: The integration is currently one-way - data flows from Lusha Conversations into Salesforce only. Updates made directly in Salesforce will not reflect back in your Conversations dashboard. Support for additional CRMs (HubSpot, Pipedrive, and others) is in development.

Troubleshooting

My meeting is not being recorded

  1. Verify your calendar is properly linked in Settings.

  2. Check your auto-recording rules to confirm the meeting type matches your configured preferences.

  3. In the Upcoming Meetings section of your dashboard, confirm the recording toggle is switched on for that meeting.

Still not working? Review your full recording preferences in Settings > Recording Preferences.

I'm not receiving analysis emails

  • Confirm your calendar is connected - you should see upcoming meetings in the top-right corner of your dashboard.

  • Check your spam, promotions, or updates folder - analysis emails sometimes land there.

How to re-enable Conversations after disconnecting by mistake

  1. Go to Settings > Personal and reconnect your calendar integration.

  2. If the calendar appears connected but recording is not working, go to the Integrations page and verify the Gmail integration is active — this powers the calendar connection.

  3. Schedule a test meeting to confirm recording is restored.
