Overview

After setting up your Salesforce Integration, the Salesforce Identifier feature can help you determine which object types already exist in your Salesforce CRM.

Use this feature to prevent the unnecessary use of credits and duplications when saving contacts, leads, or accounts to your CRM.

This feature will allow users to see whether a contact/lead/account already exists in Salesforce by showing the Salesforce icon next to the contact name.

💡 Note: Lusha currently has the capability of identifying duplicates within its own objects, such as leads, contacts, or accounts. However, there are other applications and services available that are independent of Lusha but can be used alongside it. These external tools have the ability to detect and merge duplicates within other objects.

Moving forward, Lusha will introduce a new feature to enable duplicate detection within those other objects, effectively eliminating duplications within Salesforce.

Using the Salesforce indicator will use the company salesforce API quota, not Lusha's. Hence, it doesn't use any of Lusha's credits.

How it works?

  1. start by toggling on the 'Existing Salesforce indicator' on the Salesforce management settings tab.

💡 You can also toggle on the Excluding Salesforce objects button.

When this toggle is on, when showing contacts in prospecting, if one of the selected contacts is in your salesforce, it won't reveal it, and won't charge you for credits

For example, if you wish to bulk show 1000 contacts on prospecting, we will not show details of any existing contacts.

Turning on the 'Excluding Salesforce object' can save you time & credits. ⌛

2. Head to the Field mapping environment, navigate to the Salesforce identifier tab and begin mapping the fields.

❗️Salesforce identifier logic works with these combinations for accounts:

  1. Company name

    Or

  2. Domain name

❗️ Salesforce identifier logic works with these combinations for leads and contacts:

  1. First name + Last name + Company name
    Or

  2. First name + Last name + Company domain

    Or

  3. Email address

Duplicates are identified if they fall under one of these categories.

All set! An indication (Salesforce icon) will appear within the prospecting platform next to contacts who already exist in your CRM.
