Overview

An Out-of-Office (OOO) Auto-Reply is an automated email response set up by a contact to inform senders they are unavailable to respond to emails. This is typically activated during vacations, illnesses, travel, or other periods of absence.

How it works

Auto-Reply Handling in Lusha Engage

When sending a message to a contact with an active out-of-office auto-reply, Lusha Engage automatically pauses the contact in the sequence. To continue the sequence, you will need to reactivate it.

Viewing Paused Contacts options

If a contact has been paused in a sequence due to an auto-reply, an orange clock icon will appear next to the affected sequence on the Engage main page.

View your paused contacts on a specific sequence

1. Access the Sequence: Click on the sequence with the orange clock icon.

2. Navigate to the Contacts tab.

3. Filter by Auto-Reply: Under the Paused filter, choose Auto-replied.

This will display all contacts in the sequence paused due to receiving an Auto-Reply email from the prospect.

View Specific Affected Emails

  1. Access the Sequence: Click on the sequence with the orange clock icon.

  2. Navigate to the Emails tab.

  3. Filter by Auto-Replied.

  4. Look for the orange Auto-Replied tag next to the related emails to identify which messages were affected.

Resuming a Paused Sequence

To reactivate emails for paused contacts:

  1. Check the recipient's return date in your mailbox.

  2. On the day the recipient is back in the office, revisit the contact in the Contacts tab.

  3. Tick the box next to the contact name.

  4. Click on the Activate action to immediately reactivate email sending to that contact.

By following these steps, you can efficiently manage contacts paused due to out-of-office auto-replies, ensuring smooth progression of your email sequences.
