Lusha’s credit system is built to give you control, flexibility, and maximum value. With one simple balance of credits, you can use every Lusha product the same way — whether through the platform, browser extension, AI Assistant, or API.

That means:

  • One credit type that covers all use cases.

  • One balance that adapts to your workflow.

  • One price structure that ensures every credit makes an impact.

You can apply credits to any part of the revenue workflow:

  • Prospecting – find new contacts and companies to enrich.

  • Efficiency – save time with faster workflows.

In short, you only pay for what you actually need.


How Does the Credit System Work?

Credits are consumed across four value-based categories. Each category represents a different layer of value in the revenue process.

API Explained

The Lusha API is built for RevOps, marketing, and sales teams that want to:

  • Automate workflows,

  • Integrate Lusha data into existing systems, and

  • Scale outreach beyond the platform.

Credit Consumption via API

Credit consumption in the API follows the same value-based categories used across the platform:

Data points related Endpoints

  • Contact’s email(s): 1 credit

  • Contact’s phone number(s): 5 credits

  • Company profile: 1 credit

Workflow related Endpoints

  • Search: 1 credit

    • Bulk endpoint: 1 to 25 results

    • Single: 1 result

💡 Pro Tip: Always prefer bulk endpoints when possible to reduce credit usage.

Sales Intelligence Signals

  • Charged on a per-signal per contact or company basis (e.g., Growth in Headcount = 1 credit / company).


Important Notes on API Costs

  • Every API call has a minimum cost of 1 credit.

  • If the call retrieves data points that have their own credit cost (e.g., email, phone), the 1-credit call cost is waived.

  • When re-requesting the same data point that was already revealed on the platform/plugin/API :

    • You won’t be charged again for the data point.

    • You’ll only pay the 1-credit API call cost.

When you consume a data point or search for contacts / companies, you don’t just get a single data point — you unlock a rich dataset of verified information. Here’s what’s included:

Contact Data

Included in: Contact and Search Endpoints

  • Core identifiers: companyId, personId, fullName, firstName, lastName, updateDate, jobStartDate

  • Professional details: jobTitle, title, seniority, departments, company, previousJob

  • Tags & categorization: contactTags (id, name, color)

  • Communication channels: Verified emails (type, emailType, emailConfidence). Phone numbers (type, phoneType, doNotCall)

  • Location & compliance:

    • City, state, stateCode, country, countryIso2, continent

    • rawLocation, city_id, location_coordinates

    • EU indicators (isEuContact, is_eu_contact)

  • Digital presence: LinkedIn profile

Company Data

Included in: Contact, Company, and Search Endpoints

  • Core profile: name, description, logoUrl, homepageUrl, fqdn

  • Size & structure: companySize, revenueRange, mainIndustry, subIndustry, specialities, industryPrimaryGroupDetails

  • Location: city, state, stateCode, country, countryIso2, continent, rawLocation, locationCoordinates

  • Digital presence: LinkedIn, Crunchbase, homepage, email

  • Funding & growth: Funding rounds (rounds, roundType, roundDate, roundAmount, currency), IPO details (isIpo, lastRoundType, lastRoundAmount, lastRoundDate, totalRounds, totalRoundsAmount)

FAQs

Q: Are you charging for searches?
A:
Searches throughout the platform are free. Only when you use the API to search and extract companies or contacts datasets from Lusha’s database will we charge 1 credit per up to 25 results, as per the tables above.



​Q: Are you charging for company data?
A:
Company data is free throughout the platform and plugin. When being extracted via API or export, we will charge 1 credit per 1 company’s full data profile.

*Note that some plans might have company exports disabled.



​​Q: How can I estimate my credit usage?

A: Your credit consumption is entirely up to your workflow and data requirements. For the essential operation of a standard sales team, an easy estimation equation would be to multiply the credit cost of Contacts’ emails & phone reveals (as per the table above) by the no. of emails & calls each team member is expected to handle per month/year. For a more advanced setup, our sales team will be happy to assist.


Q: Can I purchase more credits for my team?

A: Yes! Add credits anytime through your Account Settings.

You can also upgrade plans for more features and limits—upgrades apply immediately.


Q: Can I set credit limits for users in my account?

A: Yes—available on Scale plans. Contact our Sales team to enable team-level controls.


Q: Will my plan renew automatically?

A: Yes. Your monthly or annual plan will renew unless canceled. You can manage this in Account Settings.


Q: What happens to unused credits?

A:

  • Monthly plans: Credits roll over up to 2x your monthly limit.

  • Annual plans: You get all credits upfront; unused credits reset at the end of the cycle.


Q: Can I get a custom plan?

A: Absolutely. Our Scale plan is fully customizable.

Q: Can I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel my plan anytime?

A: Yes!

  • Upgrades happen instantly

  • Downgrades/Cancellations apply at the end of your billing cycle

    Your credits remain valid through your current term.


Q: Can I freeze my subscription?

A: Yes - if you need a short break, you can freeze your account.

📌 Things to know:

  • Freeze for 1 or 2 months

  • Allowed twice per year, with a 3-month gap between freezes

  • Admin access required

  • Freezing doesn’t cancel billing permanently—cancel separately if needed


Q: Will I be charged for exporting the same contact to my CRM twice?

A: Lusha charges for CRM exports only if new information is written in your CRM.
