Overview
Intent data is a set of behavioral signals that can be used to learn more about prospects' intentions before interacting with them. Using this feature will help you connect with the right prospects at the right time and increase your chances of closing deals.
💡Note: Only admins and managers can set intent topics for account users

How it works
Step 1 - Select relevant topics
Log in to your Lusha Dashboard and click on setting from the navigation bar above. Then, go to Intent.
You'll be able to Set intent topics to get started.
You can either use the search bar or scroll down to find your relevant topics. You can see all the topics you selected under the 'Selected Topics' widget.
Please note: Depending on your plan, there will be a maximum number of topics allowed for your account.
Click 'Save selection'.
Topics can be chosen from the Lusha Dashboard, Prospecting tab, and Extension.
💡 Note: Once the topics have been saved, they can be changed once a month by your CSM or Support. This allows users to better track trends in intent over time.
Step 2 - Start prospecting with intent data
Before we proceed to understand how to use Intent in Prospecting or at the extension, a few terms you should be familiar with:
Intent Score is a company score based on the number of related topics they are engaging with.
A signal score indicates a company's interest in a particular topic based on Lusha’s behavioral insights. The signal score is available by hovering over the number of topic icons.
Signal trends show how companies’ intent scores for your selected topics have changed when compared to the previous week (↓, 0, ↑).
Level of Intent (available only when using the prospecting tab) refers to a categorization of companies into stages like “Very Hot,” “Hot,” and “Warm” based on their engagement level.
Very Hot: Actively seeking solutions - Probably talking to vendors, call right away!
Hot: Exploring options - In active buying journey, reach out to provide value first
Warm: Just starting to explore solutions - Starting the journey, work to nurture
Intent within the Prospecting tab
By checking the box next to each company, you can select companies one-by-one, or in bulk.
There is an option to filter the level of intent: Very Hot, Hot, or Warm.
When using Intent in Prospecting, you will have the option to use "Or" or "And" links in a multiple value selections.
Next, you select 'View employees' from the top of the search results page.
Once pressed, you will be directed to the Contacts tab and you'll be under Intent mode. (with Scale plans only)
This tab will display the employees you choose with matching indications of their company’s intent score and trend. You'll be able to use more filters in order to filter and find the most relevant contacts from this list.
With Intent Mode, your prospecting becomes more dynamic and efficient. As you apply filters to refine your search for the most relevant contacts, the system can automatically update the results by adding new, high-quality prospects that match your criteria. This ensures your pipeline remains full and consistently focused on accounts that show strong buying intent.
Click on 'Regenerate More Contacts' to refresh your contact list and display similar results. These results will include contacts from companies that align with the topics or filters you've selected.
💡 Note: This action is possible 4 times only.
Next, to show their contact details, check the boxes next to the contacts you wish to reveal and click 'Show details'.
You can now decide whether you’d like to save your revealed contacts in your CRM or in your Lusha lists by clicking 'Save selected' or you can export your revealed contacts to a CSV file by clicking Export.
Pro tips for using Intent in Prospecting
Within the Prospecting section of the Lusha platform, users can filter their employee and company searches by intent topics via the Intent filter.
💡 Note: Make sure to choose the Companies tab to use the Intent filter.
Choose the relevant topics from the dropdown list. The dropdown list contains the Intent topic you selected. You can select a few topics or press on 'Select All'.
In multiple value selections, you can use "Or" or "And" links.
Leverage your Lusha experience by adding more prospecting filters according to your needs. This way your results will be more accurate and refined.

Company Export
You can select 25 companies or all search results.
To export up to 10K companies at a time, remove all contact selections, and a button 'Export 10K' will appear.
Press the export button and a CSV will be downloaded to your browser.
That’s it - you’re all set! Within moments, you'll have your data ready for action.
Intent in the Lusha Dashboard
Admins and managers can also choose intent topics for account users directly from the dashboard.
Click Select intent topics from the widget in the left corner.
2. Select intent topics from the list. Alternatively, you can upload a CSV file with your Intent topics.
3. Click 'Save Selection'.
💡 Make sure the topics you choose are the ones you wish to use since they cannot be changed, unless you contact your CSM.
Within the Lusha Dashboard, on the right-side widget, you can Hot Intent Signals.
Intent in the Lusha Extension
Based on the topics selected by the admins or managers, you’ll be able to view an indication of the company’s intent by hovering over the purple icon next to the company’s name.
Intent CRM Integration
Intent data can now be integrated into your CRM and added on the Company level, providing a complete end-to-end enrichment experience and a range of buyer insights data such as Intent topic count and average score.
Before you set up your Intent integration:
Make sure your account Intent topics are set.
Make sure your CRM integration is connected (Read more on CRM integration here).
Once your Intent topics and integrations are set:
Select the integration you would like to export Intent data to.
Next, click on Manage Integration.
Please note, the Manage Integration button will only appear when the CRM is connected.In the Field Mapping section, select Intent from the dropdown menu located at the bottom of the page.
4. Once the Intent has been selected, match the Lusha and CRM fields.
5. Click ‘Save’. Lusha's Intent data is now available in your CRM!
Export company details
You can easily export a list of companies' data to CSV directly from the Prospecting Companies tab. Up until now, it has been 25 companies at a time, this has now changed to up to 10K companies at a time!
How can it be done?
Click on the prospecting tab and select the companies you would like to export, under the companies search.
To export your list in bulk, click on the bulk export button. You can select 25 companies or all search results.
To export up to 10K companies at a time, remove all contact selections, and a button 'Export 10K' will appear.
Press the export button and a CSV will be downloaded to your browser.
That’s it - you’re all set! Within moments, you'll have your data ready for action.
