Lusha's lookalike feature in Clay lets you generate a list of up to 5,000 companies or people that closely resemble a small set of "seed" examples β like your best-fit customers or closed-won accounts. It replaces manual prospecting by automatically surfacing high-fit leads based on firmographic and contact signals.
You'll need an active Clay workspace and either a Lusha API key (Scale plan) or access to a Clay-managed Lusha account. You'll also need at least 5 seed identifiers: company domains for company lookalikes, or work emails or LinkedIn URLs for people lookalikes.
π‘ Note: Using 10β20 seeds significantly improves match accuracy.
Step 1: Create a lookalike table
In your Clay workspace, click Create in the left sidebar.
Search for Lusha.
Select Find company lookalikes with Lusha or Find people lookalikes with Lusha.
Step 2: Connect your Lusha account
When prompted, choose your Personal Lusha key, a Teammate's key, or the Clay-managed Lusha account.
Click Continue.
Step 3: Configure search inputs
In the Company identifiers or Personal identifiers field, paste your seed list (e.g.,
lusha.comor[email protected]).In the Exclusion fields, add domains or emails of existing customers or competitors you want to filter out.
Set Max results β the default is 5,000, but you can reduce this for a more focused list.
Click Submit.
π‘ Note: When entering domains, don't include https:// or www. β just the domain itself (e.g., lusha.com).
Step 4: Enrich your results
Once Clay populates the table with names and LinkedIn URLs, add deeper data:
Click + Add column and search for Lusha.
Select Enrich company or Enrich person.
Map Company Domain or Email to the corresponding Clay column.
Click Continue to add fields and toggle on the data points you need (e.g., Employee count, Revenue, Verified Email).
Click Save and run.
Your table will populate with lookalike prospects and their enriched contact details as the run completes.
