Lusha's contact data comes from a large number of publicly available and contributed sources, refreshed continuously. This article explains where the data comes from, how accurate it is, and what to do when a contact has no data available.
Where does Lusha's data come from?
Lusha aggregates contact and company data from multiple sources, including public professional profiles, company websites, business directories, and proprietary data contributions. All data undergoes automated validation before being made available in the platform.
Lusha does not purchase data from third-party data brokers. All data is sourced in compliance with applicable privacy regulations, including GDPR.
How accurate is the data?
Lusha uses several methods to maintain data quality:
Email verification - email addresses are validated and assigned a confidence score. The score is shown alongside the email when you reveal a contact. Higher confidence means Lusha has stronger evidence the address is deliverable.
Continuous refresh - contact records are updated as new information becomes available. Job changes, new phone numbers, and updated company details are reflected over time.
Duplicate detection - Lusha's systems identify and merge duplicate records to keep profiles accurate.
π‘ Note: No B2B data provider has 100% coverage or accuracy. Data quality varies by region, industry, and seniority level. Lusha tends to have stronger coverage for English-speaking markets and technology industries.
Why doesn't a contact have an email or phone number?
The most common reasons are:
The data isn't in Lusha's database yet - Lusha may not have found a verified email or phone for this person. Coverage expands continuously.
The contact has opted out - individuals can request removal from Lusha's database. If a contact has opted out, their data won't appear even if Lusha previously held it.
The data is available but not the type you're looking for - use the data availability filters (Has email, Has phone, Has direct phone) in search to surface only contacts with the specific data you need before revealing.
The contact is in a region with lower coverage - phone number coverage varies significantly by country. Some markets have more limited data than others.
What is the email confidence score?
When you reveal a contact's email, Lusha may show a confidence indicator alongside it:
High confidence - Lusha has strong evidence this email is valid and deliverable
Medium confidence - the email follows a known pattern but hasn't been fully verified
Low confidence - the address exists in Lusha's database but verification is limited
For outreach, focus on high-confidence emails first to minimize bounce rates.

If you find a contact with wrong or outdated information, you can flag it directly in the platform:

Click the Thumbs down next to the data point.
Select the type of issue (wrong number, wrong email, person left company, etc.).
Submit - Lusha's data team reviews flagged records.
How do I opt someone out of Lusha's database?
Individuals who want their data removed from Lusha can submit an opt-out request via Lusha's trust center.
