Credits and Unified Recommendations List

This article explains how the Unified Recommendations List works, what contact and company identifiers are blurred by default, and exactly when credits are charged

Written by Hila

The Unified Recommendations List gives you two AI-generated lead lists — one for Contacts and one for Companies — displayed in a spreadsheet view on your Lusha homepage. Contact and company identifiers are hidden by default, so you can explore, filter, and sort your recommendations before spending any credits. Credits are only charged when you choose to reveal an identifier. This article explains how the reveal process works and exactly when credits are consumed.

During beta, your recommendations will remain visible and unblurred, and revealing contacts will be free.

This feature is rolling out gradually and may not be available to all users yet.

Terminology

Two types of actions consume credits in the Unified Recommendations List. Understanding the difference will help you know exactly what you're paying for before you confirm any action.

  • Reveal — Unblurring a contact's or company's identifying fields: name, LinkedIn URL, company website, logo, and description. It's triggered when you click the reveal icon directly, or automatically when you try to show connect details or save a blurred row to a list. When the beta period ends, a reveal will cost 1 credit per row.

  • Show — Surfacing a contact's connect details: work email and/or phone number. A show costs 1 credit per email and 5 credits per phone. If the contact row is still blurred when you request a show, a reveal is triggered first — and both actions are charged together.

What Are the Unified Recommendations?

Each day, Lusha generates a fresh list of recommended Contacts and Companies tailored to your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). The lists are displayed in a spreadsheet view and support up to 10,000 recommendations per entity type.

Recommendations are scored and ranked so the best-fit leads appear first. Each row shows:

  • Lead Score — how well the contact or company matches your Target Profile and current signals

  • Signals — active buying indicators such as job changes, hiring surges, intent, or website traffic growth

  • Target Profile — the ICP that triggered the recommendation (your defined profile, or Lusha's calculated one)

  • Standard profile fields — job title, industry, headcount, HQ location, and more

💡 Note: Identifiers — such as contact name, LinkedIn URL, company name, and company website — are blurred until you reveal them. You are never charged just for viewing the list.

What Will be Blurred by Default?

The following fields will be hidden in the recommendations list until you perform a reveal action, once the beta period ends:

Contact Recommendations

  • Contact Name

  • Contact LinkedIn URL

Company Recommendations

  • Company Name

  • Company Logo

  • Company Website

  • Company LinkedIn URL

  • Company Description

All other fields — Lead Score, Signals, Target Profile, job title, industry, headcount, and location — are always visible at no cost.

How Credits Are Consumed

Credits in the Unified Recommendations List follow a reveal model — you're only charged when you choose to act on a lead.

  • Showing a contact's details costs the standard rate: 1 credit per email, 5 credits per phone

  • Saving a contact to a list automatically triggers a details show action

  • A toast notification shows the exact credits charged after any bulk action

  • If your account has no credits remaining, you'll see an out-of-credits notification when attempting to reveal

  • When beta period ends - 1 credit is charged per revealed row (contact or company)

Bulk Reveal

Use bulk reveal to unblur multiple rows at once. Available options:

Selected rows on the current page

  • All rows on the current page

  • Top X results (specific limits subject to final product configuration)

💡 Note: A tooltip on the bulk reveal button shows the total credits that will be consumed before you confirm.

⚠️ Important: Revealed contacts and companies are not automatically added to your All Contacts or All Companies list. You must save them manually to keep them after the next daily refresh

Showing Connect Details

For Contact recommendations, you can show connect details (work email, phone, or both) directly from the spreadsheet.

If the contact row is still blurred when you request connect details:

  1. The show action is triggered automatically

  2. Credits are charged for both the reveal action and the connect details show

  3. The UI displays the combined credit cost before you confirm

If the contact row is already revealed, only the connect details credits apply.

💡 Note: After a bulk connect details action, a toast message confirms that contacts were saved to All Contacts and shows the total credits consumed.

Saving to a List

You can save recommendations to a Contact List or Company List directly from the spreadsheet. If you attempt to save a row whose identifiers are still blurred:

  1. A show action is triggered

  2. A confirmation prompt appears with the credit cost

  3. You must explicitly approve the action before credits are charged

💡 Note: Blurred rows cannot be saved without first revealing the identifier. The confirmation step ensures you're always aware of credit usage before it happens.

How Reveals Work Across Your Team

Reveals in the Unified Recommendations List are shared at the account level, not per user.

  • When any user in your account reveals a contact/company, it becomes visible to all users in the account

  • A revealed contact/company stays unblurred for 3 months across the entire account

  • In the next daily refresh, previously shown contact/company are removed from the recommendations list by default — they move into your regular contact or company records instead

There is one edge case to be aware of: if another user in your account revealed a contact's details in the past, the recommendation will still appear blurred with no indication that connect details were already revealed. When you perform a showing action on that row, both the details and the previously revealed connect details appear immediately — but you are only charged for the showing action.

Now you're ready to explore recommendations and reveal leads with full confidence.
