Pipedrive Common Errors

How to fix the most common errors when using Lusha's Pipedrive integration.

If you're running into errors when exporting contacts from Lusha to Pipedrive, this guide covers the most common causes and how to resolve each one.

Error: "Authorization failed" or the connection keeps dropping

Your Pipedrive session has expired, or the integration was disconnected.

Go to Settings β†’ Integrations β†’ Pipedrive.

  1. Click Disconnect, then Connect.

  2. Log in to Pipedrive and re-authorize the connection.

  3. Try exporting a contact again to confirm the connection is working.

πŸ’‘ Note: If you recently changed your Pipedrive password or enabled 2FA, you'll need to reconnect the integration.

Error: "Contact already exists" or duplicate records appear

Pipedrive found an existing person record that matches the contact you're trying to export.

  • By default, Lusha will update the existing record with new data rather than creating a duplicate.

  • If duplicates are still appearing, check your Pipedrive duplicate-detection settings under Pipedrive β†’ Settings β†’ Personal Preferences β†’ Duplicate merging.

  • Manually merge duplicate person records in Pipedrive if needed.

Error: Contact exported but fields are empty in Pipedrive

The field mapping between Lusha and Pipedrive may be misconfigured.

  1. Go to Settings β†’ Integrations β†’ Pipedrive β†’ Field Mapping.

  2. Check that Lusha fields (e.g., email, phone, job title) are mapped to the correct Pipedrive person fields.

  3. Save your field mapping and try the export again.

Error: "Insufficient permissions"

The Pipedrive account used to authorize the integration doesn't have the required access level.

  • The connecting account needs at least Standard user permissions in Pipedrive.

  • To check: in Pipedrive, go to Settings β†’ Manage Users and confirm your role.

  • If needed, ask your Pipedrive Admin to upgrade your permissions or reconnect the integration using an Admin account.

Error: Export completes but contact doesn't appear in Pipedrive

The contact may have been created in a Pipedrive pipeline or stage you're not currently viewing.

  1. In Pipedrive, go to Contacts β†’ People and search for the contact by name or email.

  2. If found, check which pipeline or owner it was assigned to β€” adjust your default export settings in Settings β†’ Integrations β†’ Pipedrive β†’ Export Settings.

  3. If not found, check Pipedrive's activity log for any import errors.

If none of the above resolves the issue, contact Lusha Support using the chat icon in your dashboard. Include the contact name, the time of the export attempt, and any error message you saw.
