How to Record a Live or Unscheduled Meeting

Start recording a meeting manually in Lusha Conversations, even if it wasn't on your calendar.

Written by Hila

When a meeting wasn't scheduled in advance - or if the recording bot missed a call - you can start a recording manually using the New Recording button in Lusha Conversations.

πŸ’‘ Note: Each conversation recording costs 8 credits. For legacy Scale plans, credits are deducted from your Bulk Credits.

Before you start

  • You need Lusha Conversations set up. See Lusha Conversations if you haven't set it up yet.

  • The meeting must already be in progress or about to start.

  • You'll need the meeting link (Google Meet, Zoom, Teams, etc.).

How to record a live meeting

  1. Go to Conversations (/ci/meetings) in the left navigation.

  2. Click New Recording in the top-right corner of your Conversations dashboard.

  3. Paste your virtual meeting link into the field provided.

  4. Optionally rename the meeting for easier organisation later.

  5. The Lusha bot will join the meeting and begin recording automatically.

Once the meeting ends, your recording will appear in the Conversations list within a few minutes and will be processed for transcript and analysis.

πŸ’‘ Note: All participants are automatically notified when recording begins. A notification appears in the meeting chat. Admins can customise this message in Bot Settings.

How to stop a recording in progress

  • If you are the meeting host - remove the Lusha bot from the participant list, just like any other attendee.

  • If you are not the host - click Stop Recording from the Conversations banner at the top of your screen.

⚠️ Important: Make sure you have consent from all participants before recording, in accordance with your local recording laws.

Once the recording is processed, you'll find the full transcript and analysis in your Conversations list.
