I was charged unexpectedly - what do I do?

What to do if you see an unexpected or unrecognized charge from Lusha - including post-cancellation charges, charges after switching accounts, and disputed payments.

Written by Imaad

If you've noticed a charge from Lusha that you didn't expect, this article explains the most common reasons it may have happened and what to do next.

Common reasons for an unexpected charge

Charged after cancellation

Cancelling your Lusha subscription stops future renewals but does not immediately end access for the current billing period. If your billing date falls close to β€” or on β€” the same day you cancelled, a charge may have already been processed before the cancellation took effect.

πŸ’‘ Note: Cancellation requests are processed immediately, but billing events that have already been initiated in the same cycle may still be completed. To avoid a charge, cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date.

Charge linked to a previous or company account

If you previously held a Lusha account under a company email address and left that company, the subscription may still be active under that account. Charges from an account you no longer have access to should be reviewed with our team, who can verify account ownership and process the appropriate action.

Unrecognized or unauthorized charge

If you have no Lusha account at all and are seeing a charge from Lusha, this may indicate unauthorized use of your payment details. Please contact your bank or card provider immediately to dispute the transaction, and reach out to our support team so we can investigate on our end.

Add-on or top-up charge

Lusha offers optional credit top-ups that are charged separately from your base subscription. If you or another admin on your account purchased a top-up, this will appear as a separate line item on your statement.

What to do next

  1. Check your Payment & Subscription page: go to your Lusha dashboard β†’ Account & Settings β†’ Payment & Subscription to review your plan, billing cycle, and recent charges.

  2. Download your invoices: go to Account & Settings β†’ Invoices & Receipts to see a full record of all transactions.

  3. If the charge still looks incorrect, contact our support team with your account email address, the charge amount, and the date it appeared on your statement. Our billing team will investigate and get back to you.

⚠️ Important: Lusha cannot issue refunds for charges that were processed in accordance with the subscription terms. If you believe a charge was made in error, our team will review the case individually.

Our team will respond as quickly as possible. Once they've reviewed your case, you'll receive a reply with next steps.
