Getting started with Lusha Prospecting

How to run a contact or company search in Lusha, apply filters, reveal contacts, save to tables, and export results.

Written by Hila

πŸ’‘ Tables is the new name for Lists. If you use the Lusha extension or prospecting platform, nothing has changed β€” your contacts are now saved to Tables instead of Lists. All features work exactly the same way. Learn more.

Lusha Prospecting lets you find and reveal contact details for millions of B2B decision-makers using filters like job title, department, seniority, company size, industry, location, and more. This guide covers how to run a search, apply filters, reveal contacts, save them to tables, and export your results.

Starting a search

  1. Log in to your Lusha dashboard.

  2. Click Prospecting in the left navigation.

  3. Choose whether to search for Contacts or Companies using the toggle at the top.

Using the filter panel

Apply at least one filter to see results. The more filters you combine, the more targeted your search will be. Available filters include:

  • Job title, Department, Seniority

  • Location (country, city, region)

  • Company name, Domain, Industry, Company size, Revenue

  • Technologies used by the company

  • Contact details filter β€” filter by data type: Mobile, Direct phone, or Work email

  • Intent topics β€” surface contacts at companies researching relevant subjects (Premium and Scale plans)

See Filters breakdown β€” how to reach your ICP for a full filter reference.

Bulk search by company or job title

Upload a CSV file of company names or URLs to search for multiple companies at once. You can also use this to exclude specific companies or job titles from results.

πŸ’‘ Note: Free and self-service plans can search up to 100 companies at a time. Scale plans can search up to 10,000.

Revealing and saving contacts

Revealing a contact and saving a contact are two separate actions. You can do them together or independently β€” understanding the difference helps you manage your credits and your Tables more intentionally.

πŸ”“ Reveal (Show details) β€” Unlocks a contact's phone number and/or email address. Each reveal costs one credit. Once revealed, the data is yours β€” you won't be charged again for the same contact.

πŸ“ Save to table β€” Adds a contact to one of your Tables for easy access and future outreach. Saving does not cost credits. You can save contacts without revealing them first and reveal their details later from inside the Table.

How to reveal a contact

  1. Select the contacts you want β€” individually using the checkbox, or in bulk using Select all.

  2. Click Show details. The contact's phone number and/or email address will appear in the row.

  3. A checkmark confirms the reveal is complete. Each contact costs one credit.

πŸ’‘ Note: Bulk reveal limits by plan in Prospecing β€” Free: 25, Starter: 25, Pro: 50, Premium: 5,000, Scale: 10,000 contacts at a time.

How to save contacts to a table

  1. Select the contacts you want to save β€” individually or in bulk using Select all.

  2. Click Save to and choose an existing table, or click + Create new table and give it a name.

  3. Your contacts appear in the table under Tables in the left navigation. For batches larger than 150, you'll receive an email when the save is complete.

πŸ’‘ Note: You can save up to 150 contacts to a table in a single action. Larger batches are processed in the background.

Exporting results

  • Export to CSV β€” a download link is sent to your email. The link expires after 24 hours; re-export at any time to get a new one.

  • Export to CRM β€” push contacts directly to Salesforce, HubSpot, or Pipedrive. See How to export contacts to CRM using Lusha.

  • Export company data to CSV β€” export up to 25 companies at a time from Search (Scale plan only), or up to 150 from your tables.

Excluding previously shown contacts

To focus only on fresh, unrevealed prospects, toggle on the Exclude shown filter on the right side of the actions row. This removes all contacts your account has already revealed from the current search results.

πŸ’‘ Note: This filter is only available when results contain more than 25 and fewer than 10,000 contacts.

Filter by phone type

Filter contact results by the type of phone data available:

  • Mobile β€” cell phone number

  • Direct β€” direct landline

  • Phone β€” anything not tagged as mobile or direct

  • Work email β€” contact's work email address

Saved and recent searches

Save any filter combination to reuse later. See Saved and recent searches for details.

Now you're ready to prospect smarter β€” build your table, reveal the contacts you need, and push them straight to your CRM or outreach tool.
